Given the uneven impact of the pandemic on school and college performance data, the government has said you should not make direct comparisons between the performance data for one school or college and another, or to data from previous years.

This year’s examination results are the best the school has ever achieved despite the year group having the lowest KS2 prior attainment in Lancashire, 99.9 average. This is testament to the hard work of both our staff and our pupils over the last few years. We ensured that our pupils were not disadvantaged during the pandemic and the pupils were able to access a strong curriculum. Our 2022 progress 8 score for our disadvantaged pupils was better than the national average for disadvantaged pupils and our SEND pupils had the 10th best progress 8 measure against all other Lancashire schools.
