Extra-Curricular Provision

Berlin Trip

Extra-curricular provision at Corpus Christi is provided through educational visits and clubs. Our ambitious curriculum is widened further through day visits and residential trips, such as:

As our school day finishes at 2.30pm, this earlier finish allows pupils to take part in an after-school extra-curricular activities. Every department offers at least one activity, for example, sports clubs, Science Academy, Medical and Veterinary Club, Performing Arts Club and Spanish Club. There are also Chaplaincy groups which facilitate the achievement of the Faith in Action Award, and we have also recently started a group working towards the Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Eco-Committee

Just under 90% of our pupils have chosen to attend at least one extra-curricular activity after school this year, with the majority of these attending on a regular basis. Getting home after extra-curricular activities does not present an issue, with a late bus running for those pupils who need it at 3.30pm.

Pupils receive three house points for attending an extra-curricular activity, and can potentially earn up to 15 house points per week from extra-curricular attendance alone. Pupils should check with the department responsible for each activity for further details, and they should keep checking the timetable as more activities are added.

The weekly extra-curricular timetable can be downloaded below. Please check back regularly as this is updated with new and alternate activities as they are introduced.
