Sports Day 2025

On an exceptionally hot Friday, 11 July, our school came alive with excitement and energy as we held our annual Sports Day. Despite the soaring temperatures, pupils showed remarkable resilience and enthusiasm, proudly representing their houses across a range of events.

The whole school gathered to watch the action, creating a fantastic atmosphere as pupils cheered passionately for their houses. Spectators kept cool with ice lollies, adding to the fun and enjoyment of the day.

The afternoon featured thrilling tug of war battles and a full programme of track events, with cheers echoing from every corner of the field. Earlier in the week, the field events had already tested our athletes’ strength and skill.

It was a tightly fought contest throughout, with every house giving their all. In the end, Clitherow and Arrowsmith shared second place after an incredibly close finish, but it was Haydock who lifted the trophy, marking their fourth Sports Day victory!

Congratulations to all who participated and contributed to the success of this memorable event. The determination, team spirit, and sportsmanship on display were a credit to the whole school.
