On the evening of Thursday 19th June, our Year 11 pupils celebrated the end of their time at Corpus Christi Catholic High School with a fantastic Leavers’ Prom at the beautiful Barton Manor Hotel.
As the sun shone down, excitement and glamour filled the air. Pupils arrived in spectacular fashion, making their entrances in a variety of impressive vehicles including Ferraris, Mustangs, stretched limousines, and even on the back of a motorbike. Dressed in stunning gowns and sharp suits, our pupils truly looked the part. Staff, fellow pupils, and families gathered in support, watching each arrival with admiration and anticipation.
The evening was a wonderful celebration of our pupils. The formal part of the night included speeches from Head of Year, Mrs Sutcliffe, and Headteacher, Mr Hankin. Both reflected on the pupils’ journey through Corpus Christi Catholic High School, sharing memories and wishing them every success in the future. Pupils then enjoyed a delicious meal, followed by lots of dancing.
A highlight of the evening was the crowning of the Prom King and Queen. After a vote by their peers, the honours went to Veer and Rachel – a popular choice, met with great cheers and applause.
It truly was an unforgettable evening, full of joy, laughter, and lasting memories. A huge thank you to Barton Manor Hotel for hosting us, and to Mrs Sutcliffe and Mrs Slater for their hard work in organising such a special event and ensuring everything ran smoothly.
Well done, Year 11, we are so proud of you all. We look forward to seeing you on Results Day, Thursday 21st August.
