£2,400.00 raised for Derian House

On Tuesday, Ann Marie Fishwick, a fundraising representative from Derian House Children’s Hospice, visited school to thank us for our fundraising efforts during Advent. The Year 11 Senior Prefect Team met with her, to ask questions about her role as a fundraiser, and hear about the work that Derian House provide for families in our local area. Ann Marie shared about where the money we raised will go: directly to support families through the toughest times of their lives, with enrichment, medical care, palliative care and bereavement support. She told us that the hospice is a really joy-filled environment, focussed on giving children and families as much fun and joy as possible during the time they have together. 

Just some of the events we held during December which contributed to the total included the popular Funfairs, the Christmas Showcase, University Challenge, and the House Penalty Shoot-out.
