Over the last few weeks, we have come together to hold our Advent fundraising events. We have been looking to raise money this Advent for Derian House Children Hospice, a cause which is very dear to many families and staff associated with our school. During Wednesday lunchtime last week and this week, all three of our houses have organised Advent market stalls in the halls. Pupils purchased tokens to use at the many stalls such as sweet and chocolate tombolas, guess the teacher from their baby photo, Snowball Alley, photobooth, raffles, sweets stalls and the staff human fruit machine.
As a school, we raised £1066 and the house that collected the most tokens was Arrowsmith House, with Haydock in second and Clitherow close behind in third. Thank you to everyone who has contributed, and to all staff and pupils who were involved in organising and running the stalls.
