Christmas Mass

All pupils attended our Christmas Mass in the sports hall today, celebrated by our Priest Chaplain, Fr. Stephen Talbutt. There were two celebrations during the school day which both began with the traditional Yuletide hymn ‘O Come, All Ye Faithful’. A number of pupils participated in the service by reading scripture passages and bidding prayers, and by singing in the choir. All pupils came forward at Holy Communion to receive the Eucharist, a blessing or a sign of peace depending on their faith background. ‘Hark! The Herald Angels Sing’ was the final carol sung at the end of Mass. All pupils are to be commended for their impeccable behaviour and respectful participation in the celebration of Mass.
