End of Year Mass

On Wednesday, pupils, staff and governors gathered for our End-of-Year Mass. Fr Simon Gore celebrated Mass with the theme of ‘God’s promises’. In preparation, pupils reflected on the Gospel reading of the Visitation, Mary’s and Elizabeth’s celebration of God’s promise to them. Pupils wrote prayers expressing promises they hoped God would fulfil, or thanking God for the promises He has already made. These were used to decorate the Mass, forming part of a huge rainbow canopy that reminded us of God’s promise to Noah. Our pupil choir sang a variety of hymns, and all pupils joined in enthusiastically. This special occasion is always a wonderful celebration of everything our school community has achieved throughout the year.
