The United Kingdom Maths Trust (UKMT) run nationwide mathematics competitions to encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems.
On the 3rd February, 101E and a selection of pupils from 91E took part in the Intermediate Maths Challenge. All pupils were awarded with participation certificates and the following pupils gained bronze certificates in Year 10:
Javed, Thomas, Bailey and Mohammed. Layton gained a silver certificate and the highest score in school. Well done to Layton.
In Year 9 the following pupils gained a bronze certificate: Qasim, Nur, Krish, Izaaz, Yahya and Evie.
Salahideen gained a silver certificate and an entry into the follow-on round which takes place next week. Congratulations to him!
