The United Kingdom Mathematics Trust (UKMT) runs nationwide mathematics competitions that encourage mathematical reasoning, precision of thought, and fluency in using basic mathematical techniques to solve interesting problems. On Wednesday 27 April, 81E and a selection of pupils from 71E took part in the Junior Maths Challenge. All pupils were awarded with participation certificates and the following pupils gained certificates:
Reece gained the “Best In Year” certificate for Year 7.
A special mention to Jakub who gained the “Best in School” certificate and also has an entry into the follow-on round which takes place on 14 June. Benjamin has also gained an entry to the follow-on round. Congratulations to all three of them and well done to all pupils that took part.
