Year 7 pupils participated in a RE topic focusing on community when they first arrived in September as part of their learning about being a community at Corpus Christi and have recently participated in a prayer writing competition.
The competition was to create a new prayer to be said at the start of every RE lesson in the school for the whole year. This year’s competition had many outstanding entries.
The winning prayer, judged by the RE teaching staff, has come from two pupils’ prayers being joined together to create the winning entry.
Sidoneil Whyte (7C) and Ruth Ajetunmobi (7R) co-wrote the winning prayer, with runner-up Summer Cairns (7S). Winners (pictured) received a small gift together with a CTS Prayer Book and Rosary Beads to celebrate their success during their Year 7 Assembly.
