Road Safety Presentation

Year 9 pupils took part in an important road safety presentation on Wednesday this week, delivered by Performance in Education as part of their “#YOLO – Passenger Safety” programme for Key Stage 3. The session explored the serious impact that road traffic collisions can have—not only on those involved, but also on their families, friends and wider communities.

Through a dynamic and engaging performance, pupils were encouraged to think critically about the risks young people face as passengers in cars. The presentation highlighted how everyday decisions can have life‑changing consequences, and emphasised the importance of recognising danger, speaking up and taking responsibility for personal safety.

The workshop aimed to empower pupils to make safer choices, challenge unsafe behaviour and understand the role they play in keeping themselves and others protected on the road. Year 9 responded maturely to the themes explored and engaged thoughtfully with the scenarios presented.

This impactful session was part of our ongoing commitment in equipping pupils with the knowledge and confidence to stay safe beyond the classroom.
