Our talented pupils took audiences on a magical journey this summer with their outstanding production of Mary Poppins Jr., performed to two sold-out audiences on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th July. Over 80 pupils from our Performing Arts Club (PAC) have been busy for months preparing for their performances.
Based on the much-loved story, Mary Poppins Jr. follows the Banks family, whose lives are transformed when the mysterious and practically perfect nanny, Mary Poppins, arrives at Number 17 Cherry Tree Lane. Through unforgettable adventures, memorable songs and valuable life lessons, Mary Poppins helps the family rediscover the importance of kindness, imagination and spending time together.
The performances were exceptional, showcasing the incredible talent, dedication and hard work of our cast, backstage crew and production team. From the energetic dance routines and impressive vocals to the colourful costumes and creative staging, every aspect of the production captivated the audience
Our pupils performed several musical numbers from the show to Year 5 pupils from seven local primary schools during their taster days. These preview performances gave prospective students a wonderful insight into the vibrant performing arts opportunities available at our school.
We are immensely proud of everyone involved in bringing Mary Poppins Jr. to life. The production was a fitting celebration of the creativity, teamwork and commitment of our students, and a memorable way to conclude another fantastic year of performing arts.
