Rehearsals are underway for The Performing Art Club’s production of their play ‘THE SHOW’. Over 50 pupils in years 7 to 10 are involved in the production written by our music and drama department.
Mrs Culkin commented that she is ‘very impressed with pupils’ commitment, dedication and hard work’.
Rehearsals are held after school every Friday 2.30 – 5pm, and there will be additional rehearsals held in school on Sunday 26 June and Sunday 3 July. The curtains will be raised on Tuesday 5 and Wednesday 6 July and details of how to watch ‘THE SHOW’ will be published nearer the time.
Below is a brief synopsis:
The Performing Arts Club’s “THE SHOW” is about a typical school Performing Arts Club that are in midst of organising their annual end of year school show. The chaos that ensues is also typical when considering the trials and tribulations stereotypically found when a school show gets underway. Be ready for a whirlwind of auditions, tantrums and sabotaging defiance. Ultimately, what triumphs is a sense of togetherness and mutual admiration.

Pupils looked fantastic in their new performing arts t-shirts last week. They are asked to return the t-shirts after the show on 6 July. If your child wished to keep the t-shirt, they may be purchased for £6 via Parent Pay.
