We have been informed by FFT (Fischer Family Trust) that for the last academic year, our attendance rate was in the top 10 of all secondary schools in England. Our attendance rate was also the highest in England when compared with similar schools.
It was very appropriate that we found out this news just before our pupils went on their attendance reward trips. These termly events give all pupils whose attendance is above 97% the opportunity to take part in an enjoyable activity out of school during the school day, and in total over 600 pupils attended their respective trips. For the Christmas excursion, Year 7 and 8 pupils went to the Vue Cinema at the Capitol Centre to enjoy a screening of ‘Moana 2’, while Year 9, 10 and 11 pupils spent the day at the Trafford Centre, hopefully getting in some last minute Christmas shopping!
Thank you again to all parents and carers for ensuring that your child has strong attendance and therefore significantly increases their chances of reaching their full potential.
