On Tuesday 9 May our Year 7 girls faced Our Lady’s Catholic High School to compete for the Melissa Smith Shield. Our girls had a strong start to the game, with Lacey Hamer soon scoring a great first goal. When Our Lady’s scored a goal to equalise, our girls dug deep, remained focused and displayed outstanding teamwork. Lacey Hamer scored the final goal of the game and was named Player of the Match by the organisers. Congratulations to all our girls who thoroughly deserved the win, and to lift the shield on the famous Preston North End pitch. It was a day they will remember for many years to come.
